Alaskan Klee Kai Puppies Collection

2011 Alaskan Klee Kai Puppies:

The Alaskan Klee Kai is a small version of the Alaskan Husky with a wedge-shaped head featuring a striking masked face, prick ears, and a double coat. The length of their body is just slightly longer than the height. The Alaskan Klee Kai’s tail is well-furred and curls over the back or to either side when the dog is alert or moving. The appearance of the Alaskan Klee Kai reflects the breed’s Northern heritage. Alaskan Klee Kai’s are an extremely rare breed, and they were bred directly from Alaskan Huskies, Siberian Huskies, American Eskimo Dogs and Schipperkes.

New Alaskan Klee Kai Puppies:

Their markings are symmetrical. The Alaskan Klee Kai actually has three different sizes: Toy, Miniature and Standard. Alaskan Klee Kais are very affectionate and loyal to their families. They are wary of strangers, however, and but do not make good guard dogs. They do make good watchdogs, as they like to bark.

Even though simply physical features make this breed inadequate for guarding, they are still rather protective of their family. They do need socialization and good handling so that they may get along better with children in the future. Finally, the Alaskan Klee Kai has been said to resemble a cat in their fastidiousness, as well as their high prey drive. The Alaskan Klee Kai, though rare, makes an exceptional pet.

Latest Alaskan Klee Kai Puppies:
The Alaskan Klee Kai is a new breed that was developed by Linda Spurlin starting in the mid 1970′s. Alaskan Klee Kai are a smaller version of the Alaskan Husky. 1988 was the first year that the Spurlin’s made the Alaskan Klee Kai breed available to others. One of the most important trademarks of this Alaskan Klee Kai breed is the distinctive facial mask, which should be clearly visible because of the contrasting colors.

(Klee Kai, AKK, Mini Husky, Mini Alaskan Husky) The Alaskan Klee Kai was bred with the intention of creating a companion-sized version of the Alaskan Husky. They are technically considered to be a small Alaskan Husky, though they physically resemble the Siberian Husky. They come in three different sizes- standard, miniature, and toy. Most Alaskan Klee Kais have a gray and white coat, but they are also offered in red and white. Solid white coats are also available, but they cannot be registered.

Alaskan Klee Kai Puppies:

Jake’s is officially called an Alaskan Klee Kai which was derived from Alaskan Athabaskan words meaning “small dog”. His breed (a mix between a Siberian Husky and a Schipperke) is relatively new, having originated in the early 1970′s. Jake lives with us in Chicago and he absolutely loves the snow. We can legitimately say he has a “snow nose” since we can’t keep him out of it! He’s an integral part of our family and we can’t even remember what life was like before him.
