FATBOY Australian Bulldogs is a small kennel situated in QLD Australia on the Fraser Coast . We have 3 Australian Bulldogs in our family. FATBOYs Princess Pooki (Pook) and Westmead Alvaro, and FATBOYs Blonde Ambition. Our aim at FATBOY kennels is to produce healthy strong energetic bulldogs, with sound conformation and a dependable loving temperament, designed for Australian conditions. We have carefully chosen our breeding dogs to give us the high quality of pups we produce, and we intend to follow on and improve on this magnificent bloodline with Westmead Alvaro and FATBOYs Blonde Ambition. We strive for quality not quantity, our dogs are first and foremost, our family.
Australian Bulldog:
I was lucky enough to purchase FATBOYs Princess Pooki from a breeder in NSW. She is a beautiful Australian Bulldog thats confirmation mirrors the ABS Australian Bulldog breed standard and with a temperament like no dog I have ever owned, such a beautiful loving nature. Westmead Alvaro joined our family more recently in 2008, he has fit in with the family with ease. His calm relaxed personality has allowed him to fit in like he has always been here. He came into our lives when Bear (above) went to his new family home. We have kept FATBOYs Blonde Ambition out of Pookis first litter to further FATBOYs bloodline, and to create 4th generation pups from them and FATBOYs Westmead Alvaro.

2011 Australian Bulldog:
(Aussie Bulldog) Australian Bulldogs have stout, compact bodies that are very strong and well-muscled. Generally, the bodies of female Australian Bulldogs should be longer than those of their male counterparts. Australian Bulldogs have a level top line and a broad chest with the brisket well let down. Their tail cartridge is straight off the back, and their tail may or may not be docked. Australian Bulldogs have a very strong, square head that is substantially deep and wide at the muzzle. They have a pronounced stop between their large, wide-set eyes. This breed has nose wrinkle. Australian Bulldogs bred for show have a near level bite and large teeth. Their wide jaw structure should be square at the top and bottom. Australian Bulldogs have a short, smooth coat that exists in a variety of colors. There are at least five shades of brindle that are suitable for show. Australian Bulldogs may also have a pied coat, meaning there is one coat color on the body that is more prominent than another. Australian Bulldogs often have a series of patches on their body.
Australian Bulldog History:
The Australian Bulldog, initially called the Aussie Bulldog, is truly a developing puppy breed from Australia. Selective breeding was begun in the 1990s by breeders who wished to produce a puppy with the look of the Bulldog not having that breed’s inherent well being problems. There were two impartial breeding programs, one by Noel and Tina eco-friendly (the JAG line) and a separate plan by Pip Nobes (the Nobes Australian Bulldog/ Wingara lines). Each has its personal separate registries. The only incorporated and constituted system with the breed could be the Australian Bulldog Society or A.B.S, founded by Pip Nobes. The A.B.S will only register Australian Bulldog over Australian Bulldog litters, they are currently conducting its first five year census, working toward the A.B.S Australian Bulldogs being recognised by the ANKC as a breed. The United Aussie Bulldog Association U.A.B.A(formed in 2003) is operate by Noel and Tina Green, this registry is still actively registering British Bulldog over Aussie Bulldog litters.
Australian Bulldog White:
An Australian Bulldog includes a slightly extended nose that is covered using a not so loose skin color thus forming fewer wrinkles. This breed from the land down under includes a brick shaped system with extended and straighter legs that do not inhibit movement unlike the British Bulldog or English bulldog that is noted for its rolling gait. Breeders of the Australian Bulldog have been successful in eliminating the well being concerns typical to bulldogs. The Australian Bulldog is truly a relatively wholesome breed … a breed that is loyal and one that forms a powerful relationship with its family.
Australian Bulldog Image:
The Australian Bulldog is truly a relatively new breed. The improvement of this breed that was started in the earlier 1990s was aimed to produce a breed of bulldog not having the genetic well being concerns this kind of as respiration problems, gentle palate problems and whelping troubles typical to some bulldog breed. But the new breed will need to retain the perfect temperament of the endearing personality. The two breeding programs that were started separately both possess the aims of making a breed not having the anatomical exaggeration present in the British Bulldog that restricts vigor and mobility. The improvement of this breed can be considered as the efforts made by the Australian breeders to join the worldwide efforts of reconstructing the British Bulldog. The Australian Bulldog is easily recognizable as a breed of bulldog. However, this new breed is not a British Bulldog look alike.
